Prerequisites:
- No formal entry qualifications required
- Entry 18 years or above and possess strong verbal and written English.
- Be able to dedicate time for self-study, including online study, assignments and examinations
- Possession of a functional laptop or desktop PC

Course Structure:
This qualification follows an ideal blended learning framework 80% online study and 20% in-person attendance over 3 days in the academy premises. Learners receive full trainer support throughout their journey to qualification.
The course combines Level 2 and Level 3 units, providing the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to progress confidently onto the chosen Level 4 qualification.

Course Outline
The theory portion of your course is completed online through easy-to-follow webinars, PowerPoints, and downloadable manuals. If you prefer a printed manual, you can purchase one here. This flexible learning approach ensures you’re well-prepared to focus on practical skills during training days. You’ll also complete written assessments to show your understanding.
The time it takes to complete the theory online varies, but it typically takes anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months, depending on how many hours you dedicate each day.
“Your practical training will take place at the nearest centre, with locations across South Africa, making it easy to attend. We want you to finish feeling confident and competent, so we don’t limit the number of practical days. For Level 3, the minimum is two days, but if you need more practice, you can book extra sessions at no additional charge!
Practical Training Schedule:
- 9:15am: Arrival for a
- 9:30am start
- 9:30am – 11am: Review of theory
- 11am – 1pm: Practice consultations and treatments
- 1pm onwards: Models come in for case study completion
- 4:30pm – 5pm: Finish
This structure ensures you get hands-on experience and the support you need to succeed.
With Level 3 Access to Aesthetic Therapies you have 2 written MCQ theory exams, practical assessment and 6 POE Case Studies, with a final VTCT ITEC theory exam.
Written assessments must be passed as competent before attending your final assessment day.
VTCT ITEC Theory MCQ exam will be completed on exam day
Exam/Assessment Day:
- 9:00am: Arrival
- 9:30am – 12:30pm: Practical Exam
- 12:30pm – 2:30pm: Theory Exam
- 2:30pm – 3:30pm: Feedback & Certificates
Once you pass your practical assessment, we’ll submit your results to VTCT ITEC to claim your Qualification certificate.
